What are the responsibilities and job description for the Job Coach/Career Counselor position at Pinewood Inc.?
Pinewood Inc. is looking for an energetic, reliable person to be a Career Counselor and support individuals as they go to work. Duties of this position include: supporting persons with a disability to complete their job in the community, model and practice good job skills, teach proper job etiquette, and help to navigate employment-related questions that come up. Career Counselor's hours may include evenings and weekends, dependent on the individual's job schedule. Career Counselors will also be responsible for driving individual(s) to their jobs and ensuring their safety throughout their shift. Career Counselors use their own vehicles to transport individuals and are reimbursed for mileage.
Requirements: ability to communicate, receive, and follow both verbal and written instructions. Must be able to pass a background check, post-offer drug screen, lift up to 50 pounds, and have a clean driving record and auto insurance.
Hours: This position is up to 35 hours per week, with the possibility to work more. Paid vacation can be accrued.
Education:

License:
- Valid driver's license (Required)
Experience:
- relevant: 1 year (Preferred)
- dsp: 1 year (Preferred)
- caregiving/direct patient care: 1 year (Preferred)
