- Supervise Behavioral Health Associates
- Serves as a role model for residents, peers and subordinates.
- Provides education to Behavioral Health Associates
- Provides a safe, therapeutic environment that protects resident’s rights.
- Develops a therapeutic relationship with residents.
- Sets limits on resident’s behavior.
- Encourages independent behavior.
- Ensures that residents are oriented to the Center and the unit.
- Observes resident behavior for changes in order to intervene appropriately, guide nonprofessional nursing staff, communicate changes to appropriate staff, and record changes.
- Intervenes in crisis situations as per our policy.
- Collaborates with members of other disciplines in a professional manner.
- Participates in staff development .
- Adheres to applicable Human Resource Policies and Procedures, as well as applicable laws, standards, and regulations related to staff supervision and management.
- Facilitates unit staff meetings, ensures inter-shift communication.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
