About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Manager with one of our key real estate clients, a stable and growing Bay Area company. This is a high-visibility role that plays a large role in the financial success of the company, especially in relation to properties in the San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties.
Since this is a high-visibility role, in addition to proper financial experience, you must have strong interpersonal communication skills and professionalism to use when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.

Top Requirements:
- 5 - 10 years of mixed-use real estate experience
- 5-7 years of proven experience in asset management
- Advance excel and institutional financial reporting experience
- Industry Accreditations Preferred (CCIM, etc.)
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee third-party and internal property managers, retail and office brokers, consultants and vendors regarding the development/execution of operating budgets, capital investment plans, and leasing/marketing plans, etc.
- Work with third party consultants for: real estate tax assessments, insurance, deferred maintenance, other capital needs, and telecom requirements.
- Negotiate common real estate contracts, including retail leases, loan documents, and property management/leasing agreements.
- Become the local expert in each market with a focus and knowledge of competitive residential/commercial/retail assets, current development pipeline, and other economic drivers that could impact asset performance.
- Manage the acquisition of the existing buildings and tenants/residents to ensure a smooth and successful transition with regards to relocation
- Review financial reporting and variance analyses and coordinate with accounting personnel to ensure that financial statements are accurately presented.
- Review and approve annual budgets, review monthly property reports, and participate in operations, leasing and capital discussions with property management and leasing teams.
What Else You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
- Demonstrated experience in multifamily, commercial, and retail asset management and/or operations
- Knowledge of property valuation techniques and practices
- Experience with construction activities on managed assets
- Detailed understanding of the due diligence process; experience in real estate acquisitions is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Proficiency with Argus, Yardi and Yield Star/AIRM software
