As a progressive financial institution, Pioneer Federal Credit Union is seeking a dynamic individual to fulfill the role of an IT Help Desk I,  at our Admin Branch in Mountain Home, Idaho!

 

This position is responsible for providing quality member service through maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal IT Help Desk. Responsible for administration and internal support of the Company’s PCs, printers, servers, and related equipment. Tasks include end user support, license tracking, and performing PC maintenance, upgrades and configurations.

Qualifications


Responsibilities Include:

  • Effectively, professionally, and respectfully represents other Information Technology staff members, teams and their services to the client community.
  • Provides support for all Information Technology products and services. Support may include answering questions, troubleshooting problems, teaching or instructing credit union team members regarding software or hardware functionality, and communicating policy.
  • Conducts bi-monthly onsite branch and departmental visits to resolve computer, telecommunications issues, and perform maintenance on data processing equipment in accordance with vendor recommended standards.
  • Determines the most effective manner to resolve technical issues. Engages in research and in-depth troubleshooting to resolve technical problems. Consults with other staff when necessary.

 

Experience: Minimum one year of similar or related experience.

 

Education: (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program

 

Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.

 

Other Skills: Diagnostic and maintenance abilities with PC hardware, software and Local Area Network.


Physical Requirements: Ability to use a keyboard to enter and retrieve data. Must have good eyesight to view computer monitor and phone. Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 30 lbs as necessary

 

Work Environment: Normal light, heat, air, and space in work environment. Travel is expected for training and site visits
