Job Description:
The ICU RN Coordinates and provides holistic nursing care for critically ill patients and families from infants to elderly for the best outcomes for the patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required, and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
- Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective holistic patient care delivery and achievement of the desired patient outcomes
- Analyzes information, develops and implements plan of care, evaluates results and adapts for a safe plan of care
- Documents patient care to reflect complete picture of plan of care
- Integrates experience and critical thinking skills to ensure safe patient care within scope of practice
- Participates in quality improvement activities through identifying, implementing and monitoring process changes
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio
- The 24 hour operations of the department requires a weekend and holiday rotation
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
