Piper Life Sciences is seeking a DNA Laboratory Technician to support expanding operations at a molecular diagnostics organization in Fulton, MD. This person will support the team in next generation sample preparation.
Responsibilities of the DNA Laboratory Technician:
- Responsible for performing DNA/RNA extractions
- Prepare samples to run on PCR or qPCR equipment
- Execute genomic programs
- Upkeep of lab equipment and records
- Create and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Perform quality control checks and maintain reagent inventory check lists
- Accurately report data under CLIA specifications
Qualifications of the DNA Laboratory Technician:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related life sciences field, preferably molecular biology
- CLIA laboratory experience
- Familiarity with Hamilton, Symphony, Qiagen, Illumina equipment preferred
