What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Project Manager position at PIPESTONE?
Objective:
Assist with construction project oversight, project accuracy inspections, print and plan review as well as coordination of maintenance projects as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with design of new construction projects (foreign and domestic) from initial rough drawings to engineered civil plans and finalized CAD layouts. Provide project specifications, request of bids from general contractors, review bids for accuracy and completeness.
- Regular communication with contractors regarding construction project problems and finding resolution
- Job site inspections to ensure project specifications are being followed and Pipestone quality standards are being met.
- Assist as needed in the construction and maintenance areas.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist with maintenance projects at sow farms as needed.
- International travel as needed assisting with design and overseeing construction projects.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
- B.S. degree with an agricultural or construction management focus preferred.
Experience:
- 3 to 4 years construction/maintenance experience or post-secondary education/training in these fields may be substituted for B.S. degree.
- Team player with good communication skills
Additional Requirements:
- Must qualify to drive a company vehicle per insurance company requirements based on driving record.
- Occasional overnight travel.
