Position Purpose

Pipeworks Studios is seeking a DevOps Engineer! This role will live operations of both and released and in-development games and is open to all experience levels.

Essential Job Functions

• Support a CI/CD development system in Jenkins
• Investigate and debug networking, build, dev workflow issues on Windows, Mac OS and Linux
• Provision and deploy servers, containers, and VMs
• Communicate with project managers and business partners

Requirements

• Desire for a career in DevOps with a commitment to continually honing your craft
• Passion for reducing friction in developer workflows and for generally making your teammates’ lives easier
• Willingness to occasionally be on-call during nights or weekends to support live products

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial IT
• Experience as a professional software developer
• A BS in computer science or related field (mathematics, physics, engineering)
• Experience with any of the following:
  • Jenkins
  • Bash and Groovy scripting
  • Windows, MacOS and Linux administration
  • VM and container provisioning (we use Docker)
  • Perforce Version control
  • AWS and Azure cloud services
  • Kubernetes
  • Infrastructure as code (we use Terraform)
  • Jira
  • Unity Game engine
  • C# coding
