Position Purpose
Pipeworks Studios is seeking a DevOps Engineer! This role will live operations of both and released and in-development games and is open to all experience levels.
Essential Job Functions
- Support a CI/CD development system in Jenkins
- Investigate and debug networking, build, dev workflow issues on Windows, Mac OS and Linux
- Provision and deploy servers, containers, and VMs
- Communicate with project managers and business partners
Requirements
- Desire for a career in DevOps with a commitment to continually honing your craft
- Passion for reducing friction in developer workflows and for generally making your teammates’ lives easier
- Willingness to occasionally be on-call during nights or weekends to support live products
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in commercial IT
- Experience as a professional software developer
- A BS in computer science or related field (mathematics, physics, engineering)
- Experience with any of the following:
- Jenkins
- Bash and Groovy scripting
- Windows, MacOS and Linux administration
- VM and container provisioning (we use Docker)
- Perforce Version control
- AWS and Azure cloud services
- Kubernetes
- Infrastructure as code (we use Terraform)
- Jira
- Unity Game engine
- C# coding
