PCDM is looking to expand our team! We are looking for teachers who will help develop a positive self-image in children (ages 18 months - 12 years old), an awareness of the world around them, and an understanding of God’s love for them.

Our staff is made up of loving teachers who work together as a team to provide the best quality childcare possible. PCDM's leadership team understands the importance of communication and working to best support staff in order to maintain a positive and enthusiastic work environment.

Qualification Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Minimum Education level: High School Diploma/Certificate
  • At least 6 months experience working in a DSS licensed childhood facility required OR ECD 101 Certificate
  • Must be able to attend monthly staff meetings
  • Must be able to comply in all respects with all applicable laws and regulations relating to childcare
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, and be able to see, hear, and respond to children's needs, including reaching high, stooping to the child's level, sitting on the floor and rising from the floor, and standing for long periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to interact with children based on level and age and supervise children at all times
  • Must be able to safely and carefully perform diapering / toileting (where necessary)
  • Must be able to maintain a clean and safe classroom
  • Must be able to send messages and children’s daily report through center approved app
  • Must be flexible and willing to assist other staff when needed
  • Must be able to follow Pisgah CDM employment policies / handbook
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with children, parents, leaders, and staff
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations, including but not limited to weather alerts, intruders, or medical emergencies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
