PitchBook's Manager, Data Feed API Sales provides support and leadership to our Direct Data sales team. Managers for Data Feed API Sales are essential in creating an environment where salespeople can be successful through mentorship, coaching, regular check-in 1:1s, and other skill development initiatives. Managers for Data Feed API Sales will work in close collaboration with Account Management and Direct Data senior leadership to ensure commercial goals are achieved, and the sales team operates at peak potential. Managers, Data Feed API Sales will be responsible for making key business decisions on behalf of their teams, and a track record of responsible decision making and resulting positive outcomes is a key competency for the role. This role is an opportunity to have a direct impact on the business performance of PitchBook's Direct Data team and a meaningful influence on the skill and career development of the team's individual contributors.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Mentor Direct Data Account Development Managers to foster good decision-making habits, sustainable business practices, and high-quality business development skills
- Employ training and career development resources to facilitate the onboarding and development of individual contributors. Ensure adherence to procedures and role expectations by direct reports
- Accurately forecast opportunity pipeline at individual and team level on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
- Leverage pricing guidance developed by senior leadership to develop commercial proposals for clients
- Approve/disapprove variances in standard procedures based on complete assessment of case-by-case scenarios
- Drive innovation throughout the department by finding new and creative ways to serve our customers, sell our products, and build our team
- Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
- Actively contribute to the team, office, and company culture through active participation in events and an impactful presence in physical workspaces
- Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- 5 years previous experience in business development and/or customer success
- 2 years previous experience in sales management capacity for SaaS sales
- Demonstrated achievement against quota objectives as an individual contributor
- Previous experience and demonstrated success on a SaaS sales team selling technically complex products
- Experience working with customer-facing data feed and API solutions and implementation, particularly with RESTful APIs
- Ability to deliver feedback, both positive and negative, to reporting team members
- Ability to foster relationships with senior-level executives
- Previous experience with executive reporting, pipeline management, and business planning/forecasting
- Previous knowledge of the private equity, venture capital, and M&A marketplace and understand why and how each of our diverse client types engages with our product and data
- Proficiency working with Salesforce and other CRM tools
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Compensation
- Annual base salary: $130,000
- Annual on target variable commission of fully ramped representative meeting expectations: $85,000
- PitchBook currently has no cap on commission and commission is determined by individual performance
Working Conditions:
The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
