YOUR ROLE
As the Head of Advertising at Pitted Labs, you will be responsible for growing and leading an experienced team of advertisers to drive growth for Pitted and its partners. This role manages the digital marketing efforts for our partners' brands and Pitted-owned brands across all digital channels. You will work closely with the business development and account management teams to develop advertising strategies that deliver exceptional advertising performance for our partners. Your main goal is to build and manage a successful advertising business unit and consistently help clients achieve their advertising goals.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE HEAD OF ADVERTISING
As the Head of Advertising at Pitted Labs, you will lead the planning and execution of the entire advertising business unit. Including, but not limited to team management, training, client advertising campaigns, analyzing performance data, training, and making data-driven optimizations. In addition, you will collaborate with the account management team to align advertising efforts with our client’s overall marketing and sales strategies. Initially, you will be expected to manage the day-to-day for some partners advertising performance until you grow your team. As the advertising team grows, you will be expected to manage, mentor, and grow our ads team to ensure best practices and Pitted values are followed and maintained. As the advertising expert, you will stay current with industry trends and developments to ensure that Pitted Labs remains competitive in the ever-evolving e-commerce landscape.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with client partners and leadership to determine the goals of the advertising team’s digital marketing projects and develop plans to meet them.

Lead brainstorming sessions with team members to generate ideas for new digital marketing campaign concepts, including content and design elements.

Oversee brand relationships from an advertising perspective and lead all digital marketing performance presentations to client partner executives.

Serve as the subject matter expert for digital advertising optimization for Pitted.

Drive growth within Pitted's portfolio brands, including launching brands into new markets or marketplaces through advertising excellence.

Oversee all budget and reporting for performance marketing across digital advertising platforms for partner clients.
- Own the advertising team business unit P&L (profit and loss).

Manage, mentor, and grow our ads team to ensure best practices and Pitted values are followed and maintained.

Own the advertising performance, potentially including day-to-day campaign management for our most enterprise-level partners.

Lead technology development by identifying key product enhancements and serve as the business lead in requirements development and design. I.e. manage relationships with Pitted’s ad-tech partners.

Conduct 1:1 meetings with all members of the advertising team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

5 years of experience in performance marketing (online required, preferred multichannel)

5 years proven experience in managing Amazon advertising campaigns for both large ($10M annual ad budgets) and small brands either at an agency or large, well-known brand.

3 years experience managing digital ad strategy for non-Amazon digital ad platforms. (e.g. Google, Meta, TikTok, etc.)

Experience directly managing the full suite of Amazon-offered ad types: sponsored ads, programmatic ads (DSP), linear/OTT, etc.

Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, Rakuten, and others.

Responsible for managing relationships with advertising technology partners.

Coordinate and participate in networking activities and events.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends.

Experience with advertising tools and platforms such as Perpetua/Marin/Quartile

Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field
WORKING CONDITIONS
Position requires qualified individuals to see, hear and speak (verbally and audibly). Required to ascend and descend stairs and ladders; sit, stand, lift, bend, stoop, crawl and kneel. Occasionally reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing are required. May be asked to drive or travel by car, air or other transportation for business purposes.
Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds.
Natural and regular stressors occur on the job.
Must report to work unimpaired.
