Pivot Apparel is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Technical Designer to play a pivotal role in shaping our technical design strategy. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, fit, and functionality of all our apparel from concept to production. You will collaborate closely with our design teams, providing initial specifications and technical expertise to translate their creative vision into reality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Design on PLM: Utilize our custom Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software to create technical specifications for apparel designs.
- Fit Process: Lead the fitting process, including developing fitting specifications, conducting fittings, and providing detailed feedback to ensure exceptional fit and quality across all garment types.
- Fit Standards: Establish and maintain comprehensive fit standards that guarantee consistency and excellence in all Pivot Apparel products.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from initial design to production, to ensure all styles meet our rigorous fit and comfort standards.
- Communication: Effectively manage email communication, address technical inquiries from internal and external teams, and provide support with fit and grading processes.
- Tech Pack Preparation: Prepare and distribute comprehensive development tech packs to assigned vendors, outlining all garment specifications.
- Block Building: Create and maintain a library of foundational block patterns for various apparel categories, streamlining the design process.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Technical Designer in the apparel industry.
- Proven experience in utilizing industry-standard PLM software for garment development.
- In-depth knowledge of garment construction techniques, fit principles, and various fabrics.
- Strong understanding of fit standards and the ability to translate them into technical specifications.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
