SAT/ACT Math Tutor

Pivot Tutors is looking for an experienced test prep tutor who can provide quality instruction and support for a wide range of standardized tests, such as the ACT and SAT, as well as high school math classes.

**Previous high school math tutoring/teaching experience is required.**

ABOUT YOU:

If you’re the right tutor for our team, YOU…

• have a minimum of 1 year of recent experience teaching/tutoring math for ACT and SAT (Required).

• are an expert in test-taking strategies, ACT & SAT format, and high school-level math (Required).

• have experience teaching/tutoring math for GRE, ISEE, and PSAT (A plus!).

• can also tutor in a wide variety of subjects, such as Algebra 2, Geometry, PreCalculus, and/or Calculus (Preferred).

• enjoy mentoring high school students.

• are skilled at breaking complex problems down into manageable parts.

• make learning fun and are a confident teacher.

• want a rewarding job that allows you to use your education and experience.

• have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in the subjects you will be teaching, with a University GPA >3.5 (Required).

• have access to a laptop (with screen annotation capabilities) and reliable internet connection (Required).

ABOUT THE POSITION:

• Part-time position (5-15 hours)

• Currently, a remote position (with the expectation to work out of the Pivot Tutors office in Sorrento Valley once in-person tutoring resumes)

• Paid tutor training is provided.

• Salary: $20-30/hour depending on background and experience

• Position starts ASAP
