Strategy Manager role
We are looking for an analytical, team oriented, all-around talent to join our team as a Strategy Manager. The Strategy Manager will report to &pizza's Head of Strategy. &pizza's strategy team plays three roles in the company:
- Strategic leadership — development of the annual strategic plan; identification and assessment of new opportunities and partnerships
- Business insights and management — data collection, analysis, and reporting; overall initiative prioritization and tracking; management of pilots / launches
- Strategic ventures — leadership of high-priority strategic initiatives
The Strategy Manager will provide support across all three areas. S/he can expect regular engagement with the company President and CEO.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Strategic leadership (~10% of time)
- Support annual strategic plan by working with other business units to identify annual priorities, performing analyses / developing business cases, and owning the final Board presentation
- As needed, assess new opportunities using basic financial models
- Support the preparation of quarterly Board materials
Business insights and management (~70% of time)
- Support Head of Strategy to identify unmet analytical needs of the business
- Build requisite analyses and models, draw out implications, and make relevant business recommendations
- Support executive team members to coordinate and monitor key business initiatives
- Design and lead tests for new initiatives / launches: identify metrics to track, collect data, coordinate test, and make go / no-go recommendations
Strategic ventures (~20% of time)
- Support Head of Strategy in identifying and leading specific initiatives of high import to the company
Qualifications
- Very strong analytical and modeling skills
- Proficiency in Excel; other analytical tools a plus
- Experience in project management / coordination
- Proficiency in PowerPoint
- Growth mindset — eager to learn
- Team orientation — no hesitation rolling up sleeves
- Strong communication skills
- Ideally 2 years at a top management consulting or financial firm
