Summary of Position:

Accurately and efficiently responsible for the cleanliness of the flatware, pots or pans, glassware, and tableware, using the dishwasher or by hand. Trash removal and parking lot cleanliness, as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Also perform other duties in the areas of food and/janitorial duties assigned by the mangers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Wash flatware, tableware, glassware, pots and pans, using dishwasher or by hand
• Place all clean dishes, utensils or cooking equipment in storage area or on supplied shelves on the line
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated trash areas, replacing bags and washing out cans when needed
• Clean and prepare various foods for cooking or serving, instructed by the manger
• Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dish area
• Keep all equipment clean and in good working condition
• Sweep the parking lot on a daily basis and maintain the parking lot in all weather conditions a
• Load or unload trucks for delivery and store items in correct placing rotating if needed.
• Handles, stores and rotates all products properly.
• Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
• Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for dishwasher station. Assists others in closing the kitchen.
• Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).
