What are the responsibilities and job description for the AP/Payroll Administrator position at PKG Contracting?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Accounts Payable
- Managing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
- Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
- Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
- Participate in preparation for the annual audit
- Understand compliance issues around accounts payable processes including sales tax
- Other duties as assigned
Payroll Administrator
- Assist in processing weekly payroll, from reviewing time entry to sending to the bank
- Assist in processing taxes, garnishments, and other deducts
- Assist in process employee benefit deductions and fringes
- Answer employee questions on payroll, leaves or compensation issues
- Setup Payroll with updated taxes, Certified Classes, and software updates as needed
- Assist with Benefit Open Enrollment, and other HR tasks as needed
- Ensure all federal, state and local payroll laws are followed
- Stay up to date on Payroll Compliance, laws and regulations
- Other duties as assigned

- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
