PREREQUISITE REQUIREMENTS:
(1) Qualified by reason of education and/or experience in applicable OSHA and EPA standards. (2) Knowledgeable of safety processes, organizational processes, adult education and training methods/techniques, and global business acumen. (3) Minimum of five (5) years experience in related position. (4) Comprehensive knowledge and high skill levels in communication and interpersonal skills. (5) Able to identify, formulate, implement and manage all phases of the safety management process. (6) Certification in applicable field or commensurate experience.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Able to understand, interpret and communicate complex ideas, issues, instructions and other specifications relative to assigned projects. Able to manage multiple priorities and respond to multiple demands in timely and professional manner. Able to maintain high level of proficiency under pressure. Can demonstrate appropriate communication skills as needed to verify, question, and coordinate organizational processes. Able to assess quality of own work as well as others and troubleshoot potential problems as necessary. Able to visualize desired result and develop methods of attaining it. Able to assess and identify corporate improvements to enhance productivity and the overall performance of the business. Able to work productively with all areas of the organization.
Accurate knowledge, understanding and efficient use of applicable software packages. Accurate knowledge and understanding of company policies, procedures, programs, and guidelines. Demonstrable skills in interpersonal communication and conflict management. Demonstrates high degree of professional behavior and appearance, work ethic, attention to detail, honesty and reliability. Can demonstrate ability to manage stress constructively and maintain a positive, even temperament during periods of frustration, ambiguity, and change.
