General Description
The Data Specialist focuses on timely and accurate data entry and the translation and dissemination of population health information. The Data Specialist liaises between Missouri Behavioral Health Council (MBHC) and stakeholders at Places for People to manage data projects and report on key performance indicators.

Job duties include but are not limited to:
Data Entry
- Navigate electronic health records and extract data for entry into state level information sharing system (CareManager):
- Hospitalization Follow Up
- ER Follow Up
- Medication Reconciliation
- Vitals
- Labs
- Care Team
- Other clinical program information
- Relay projects/information from MBHC.
- Effectively communicate with MBHC related to reporting troubleshooting
System Administration - CareManager
- Assign and manage relationships with person served and care team
- Train new users
- Reconcile and manage organization census
- Create and manage employee profiles
- Assist with troubleshooting for internal end-users
- Reconcile data feed errors
- Act as CyberAccess system administrator
- Employee account management
Reporting
- Report monthly on performance measures:
- Metabolic Screening Completion
- Hospitalization Follow Up Completion/Timeliness
- Medication Reconciliation Completion/Timeliness
- Work with HCH Coordinator and treatment teams to address data and reporting needs
- Compile other data sets as needed
General Expectations
- Completes annual training requirements as outlined by agency requirements and supervisor
- Performs other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor
