Description
The Graphic Designer will work as a part of the communications team reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications. The team strives to grow the impact of Planet Aid by raising awareness of its mission, programs, and results.
The Graphic Designer is responsible for designing and producing digital and print collateral including brochures, presentations, landing pages, banners, ads, web graphics and various other pieces for internal and external use, from concept through execution of finished product.
The position will be full-time, and the work will be done primarily in our corporate offices in Elkridge, MD.
Requirements
- Create dynamic graphics for documents, grant proposals, publications, web application, signage, logistics, and marketing materials.
- Work with the Director of Marketing and Communications to visualize ideas and create impactful images.
- Use Adobe Creative Suite to create and refine projects.
- Incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders into revision and execution process.
- Seek out or create images to meet the team’s marketing needs.
- Collaborate to build the Planet Aid brand.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities to meet deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Lightroom).
- Minimum of three years of experience working as a designer in the design/advertising/communications field.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Arts, or related field preferred.
- Able to present a digital “portfolio” of previous work that exhibits the necessary technical and creative skills.
- Photography skills and experience in video production preferred.
- Track record of good judgment and goal achievement.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Selected applicants will be asked to provide a portfolio prior to an interview.
