Description
Planet Aid is a nonprofit organization that collects and recycles used textiles to protect the environment and support sustainable development in impoverished communities around the world is seeking a full-time, Material Handler II.
The Material Handler II has the responsibility of assisting transportation in the loading and unloading of donations from company trucks and contractors into the warehouse for efficient processing. Ideal candidates will be great team players and demonstrate high levels of personal accountability and responsibility. The position involves processing unloaded material, recycling, and general cleaning through a variety of mechanisms.
Responsibilities:
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, bins, or trucks.
- Assist warehouse in the scanning of cart information into the computer system.
- Properly bales materials and donated goods.
- Safe operation of the warehouse, or propane/electric forklifts.
- Responsible for maintenance and proper storage of equipment.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment to ensure that the warehouse is accessible and safe for employee traffic
- trucks.
- Empty carts and sort material into categories.
- Skilled and Senior level material handlers will operate bailing machines and propane/electric forklifts.

Requirements
HS Diploma or equivalent years of experience in place of diploma; Min. 1 year of experience as MATHAND I in PA, or 2 years of experience in warehouse operations as a material handler; Ability to warehouse machinery safely and efficiently, including forklifts; Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job and lifting up to 50lbs; Ability to understand written and oral job instructions; Ability to follow all safety standards and policies; Ability to multitask and assist production team when required
