Summary/Objective
The Jet Press Operator is part of the Print Shop department and is an integral position within the company. The right candidate will operate a Halm Jet Envelope Press in a fast-paced work environment.
Essential Functions

- Operate Halm-Jet Envelope Press
- Prepare job set up, understand and identify quality issues, and troubleshoot to correct them
- Plan print jobs in accordance with the training you will receive
- Understand Pantone/PMS color guide ink swatches
- Review and understand job jackets for production
- Responsible for maintaining a clean press station and work area at all times
- Perform all duties safely, wearing required personal protective equipment as needed
- Observe all safety rules and immediately report hazards to management
- Be punctual to work and show up consistently
- Follow all company policies as described in the Employee Handbook
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Must have 1-3 years prior experience and knowledge of Offset Printing
- Halm-Jet envelope presses and/or sheetfed presses experience is preferred
- Operator must be familiar with paper substrates, inks, plates and finishing processes to ensure that accuracy and quality results are achieved
- Able to read and write in English
- Must be authorized to work in the United States

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. 6am – 6pm & 6pm – 6am – rotating schedule 3 on 4 off followed by 4 on and 3 off including every other weekend.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.

Must be able to get background check and drug test.
