- Recruit, hire, train and develop a high performing staff.
- Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests.
- Schedule staff and ensure all shifts are covered.
- Manage key administrative processes including payroll, deposits and close downs, inventory, issues, marketing, Human Resources and metrics/reporting
- Resolve employee and member issues.
- Manage employee disciplinary/termination activities.
- Ensure a clean and safe facility including equipment, locker rooms and interior as well as exterior of the facility.
- Uphold Brand Standards, including brand excellence execution (360 cleaning and customer service audits), 30 day app adoption, 30 day secondary billing, and excelling in meeting and exceeding company metric standards.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Protects member confidentiality according to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and related state and federal laws.
- Must be able to regularly lift or move at least 25 pounds and occasionally move or lift up to 75 pounds.
- Must be able to effectively communicate both in writing and orally.
- Continual standing, moving, and walking for several consecutive hours during shift, which comprises 80% of daily duties. Remain stationary for approximately 20% of daily duties.
- Available to be on-call for emergencies which may occur at assigned club.
- Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
- High school diploma/GED equivalent required. College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Must be 18 year of age or older.
- Current CPR Certification required; paid for by employer.
- Successful completion of Monterosso PFU Learning Pathway or equivalent training.
- Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.
- Experience working as an Assistant Manager or fitness trainer at a Planet Fitness®, at least six months experience preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency, including, but not limited to, Data Trak and Google Workplace applications such as Google Office and email.
- Solid supervisory, diplomacy and listening skills.
- Hard working, enthusiastic and energetic!
- Strong problem resolution skills.
- Minimum one to three years of experience in leading and/ or managing a team, preferably in the fitness industry. Leadership/Management experience
- Passion for fitness and motivating employees, while creating a culture in line with JP Management’s core values.
- Competitive salary between $40,200 - $49,200 (based on experience and qualifications) plus bonus
