About the Role:
Planet is seeking an experienced Financial Controls Analyst to join the team! As a Financial Controls Analyst at Planet, you will assist in the oversight and execution of the Company's SOX Compliance Program. To be successful in this role, you must be able to have a big picture mindset, understand control impacts, pay strong attention to detail, and embrace challenges as opportunities for success to expand and grow with the company.
Impact You'll Own:
- Support the assessment process for internal controls over financial reporting as required by Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404
- Partner with Control and Process Owners to review and ensure that key controls are properly documented and tested
- Coordinate testing cadence and walkthroughs with internal and external audit
- Recommend and assist in driving improvements on accounting processes, documentation, and procedures
- Assist in providing guidance and support to remediate control deficiencies
- Support ad hoc projects as needed
What You Bring:
- A high degree of ownership over projects and results
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and follow through on tasks
- Team-oriented mindset and a desire to continuously learn and improve
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other quantitative major
- 2 - 5 years of accounting or financial controls experience
What Makes You Stand Out:
- Positive, get-it-done attitude and agile approach to problem solving
- Public accounting/public company experience
- Experience with SOX tools (e.g. AuditBoard, Workiva, etc) and Financial ERPs systems
- Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills

Compensation:
The US base salary range for this full-time position at the commencement of employment is $68,500 - $112,600. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives (bonus and equity). The final salary range is determined by job related experience, skills and location. The range displays our typical hiring range for new hire salaries in US locations only. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
