Clinic Assistant

We are seeking Clinic Assistants to join our mission at our Northeast Portland Health Center (Family Planning).

• The Front Office Clinic Assistant is responsible for providing support in the front office of the health center which includes accurate data entry, checking-in and checking out patients in a timely manner, preparing paperwork, answering phones, and scheduling appointments.
• The Back Office Clinic Assistant is responsible for providing clinical support to providers and patients related to sexual and reproductive health care. Back Office Clinic Assistants support providers by rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, performing phlebotomy, lab testing and accurately inputting patient information into electronic health records (EHR).

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of work experience in a customer service or high-volume role.
• Ability to perform all of the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Medical Receptionist experience
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
• Basic understanding of insurance billing and ICD-10 coding preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.29 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
