PROCUREMENT CATEGORY MANAGER
GLOBAL TUNGSTEN & POWDERS CORP.
TOWANDA, PA
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Procurement Category Manager will be responsible for CAPEX, building and facilities management, operational services, outsourcing and consumables. This position will be located at the GTP Towanda facility but responsible for North American Procurement in the listed categories.

Responsibilities Would Include:
Category Management:
  • Be constantly updated about the Market: Supplier alternatives, technical constraints, Market/Leverage evolution
  • Steer regular benchmarking to develop a more sustainable & competitive supply chain.
  • Lead the creation and the alignment of the Category Strategy
  • Maintain a constant Supplier Risk Management to ensure a strong service level to our production sites
  • Lead the global supplier negotiation: Long Term Agreement, Rebates
Team responsibility:
  • Organize regular reviews/workshops with the Site Procurement Managers/ Buyers in order to increase the service level of our supply chain
  • Support the development of a more entrepreneurial procurement culture inside Ceratizit (i.e. Team Coaching)
Reporting & Collaboration :
  • Direct report to the Group Procurement Director
  • Direct Interfaces: Site Procurement team, Site Mangers, Engineering Management.

REQUIREMENTS
Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree, or Bachelor with equivalent years of experience
  • 10 Years of Industrial Experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 Years’ experience in a leadership role
  • Any Experience in other function (Product/Program/Process development) is also considered as an asset.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working in SAP
  • Fluency in English preferred. Ability to understand French and German a plus.

  • Persuasive individual showing charisma, strong presentation skills and demonstrating a track record of negotiation successes.
