Job Posting for General Laborer - Swing Shift at Plant Science
Responsibilities:
Perform various manual labor tasks as assigned
Use various tools to complete assigned tasks
Assist with the setup and cleanup of work areas
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
Operate large machinery (turn on/off, follow safety procedures, make adjustments, restock, clean, assemble/disassemble)
Lift bags and boxes to load machinery (often greater than 50 lbs in weight)
Use a pallet jack to move pallets around the facility
Fill out paperwork as instructed
Inspect product for defects
Report any defects found and begin root-cause analysis
Follow work instructions and daily production schedule
Communicate appropriately with team members when assistance is required
Skills and Qualifications:
1 year machine operator (pharmaceutical or nutraceutical industry preferred)
Proficiency in basic math
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
Ability to work on your feet for 10 hours (periodic breaks provided)
Work well with others and work without constant supervision
Experience in Encapsulation, Stick Pack or related machinery (preferred)
Forklift certified (preferred)
Previous experience in a labor-intensive role preferred
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods of time
Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment
Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors
Shift:
Monday - Thursday 4:00pm to 2:30am
