How You Will Contribute
As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking an exceptional Production Manager to join our Manufacturing team. The Production Manager will play a pivotal role in driving our mission forward, enabling us to exceed expectations and make a lasting impact in the food industry.
The Production Manager will be responsible for planning and overseeing the day-to-day production process at our manufacturing site in Eldorado, Texas, and ensuring on-time, on-cost, and on-spec production. In order to ensure all production metrics and quality standards are met, the production manager will work closely with the operations and maintenance teams, and is supported by the Quality Assurance team and the Engineering team at Plantible Foods.
The Production Manager will promote a culture of safety and continuous process improvement within the facility by proactively leading by example and encouraging behaviors that are in line with the company values to foster a safe and efficient production environment. The Production Manager will ensure that our production processes are executed as planned and that production schedules are met. In case of process deviations the production manager will ensure that the appropriate risk mitigations are taken. The Production manager will coordinate supply chain activities at our manufacturing site to ensure timely availability of raw materials for our production process.

What You Will Be Working On
- Plan, organize, and oversee the production process to ensure production schedules are met efficiently. Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions to address any deviations from the plan.
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and comply with industry regulations. Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to identify and resolve any quality issues.
- Supervise and manage a team of production staff, including hiring, shift planning, training, and performance management. Foster a positive and productive work environment through effective communication and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies and values. Implement and enforce safety procedures and culture to create and maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions for all employees, ensuring they understand and follow safety protocols. Perform regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to integrate safety into all aspects of operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure the facility remains competitive.
- Oversee inventory consumption and stock levels, and coordinate supply chain management to ensure timely availability of raw materials. Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to maintain a steady supply chain.
- Ensure budget adherence. Ensure production costs are controlled and site financial targets are met.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Production Management, Food Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a production management role, ideally within the food ingredients manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, GMP, and other relevant regulations.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with production management software.
- Strong organizational agility and demonstrated drive for results.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Full-time position, with the flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet production demands.
