- JOB TITLE DESCRIPTION:
- The MRO Clerk or designate will serve as the administrative contact for the purchasing department.
- REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
- This position Directly reports to: Senior Buyer
- RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:
The responsibilities and authorities for this position include, but are certainly not limited to:
- Ensure there is the proper stock of supplies by maintaining accurate inventories and placing timely orders for the MRO supply cage and the vending machine.
- Research and submit pricing for supplies needed within the facility and support requests.
- Assist with maintaining inventory levels by tracking stock levels and reorder points.
- Help implement inventory control strategies as directed.
- Collaborate in identifying obsolete or excess inventory.
- Assist senior buyer in researching potential suppliers and obtaining quotes.
- Help evaluate supplier proposals and capabilities.
- Collaborate in negotiations for favorable terms and conditions.
- Assist in the creation and issuance of purchase orders.
- Ensure accurate documentation of procurement transactions.
- Monitor and track order status to ensure timely delivery
- Recommend and participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
- Assist in analyzing MRO spending and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Support cost reduction initiatives under the guidance of senior MRO Buyers.
- Collaborate in assessing supplier performance and gathering information for supplier evaluations.
3.16 Support senior buyers in maintaining positive relationships with vendors
3.17 Assist with maintaining accurate records of MRO transactions and contracts.
- Promote an atmosphere of teamwork at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Work in compliance with the Quality and Business Operating Systems and all health and safety and environmental legislation.
- Completion of any other duties as assigned.

- MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the following minimum work experience qualifications:
- Must have the ability to be trained for the above mentioned responsibilities and authorities
- Acceptable performance record and attendance record required
- MLS/QAD Experience encouraged
- Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint
- MINIMUM TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the following minimum training:
- WHMIS/MSDS
- Spill Training
- Plasman Quality / Environmental/Safety Policy awareness
- New Employee Orientation (when required)
- OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the following minimum training:
8.1 Ability to perform well in high pressure situations
