Job Title: Production Manager-Plastics
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee our plastic production operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of plastic manufacturing processes, including design, tooling, production, and quality control. The Production Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team of technicians and operators to ensure optimal performance and production efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all aspects of plastic production operations, including scheduling, planning, production, and quality control.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
Hire, train, and manage a team of technicians and operators to ensure that production goals are met.
Monitor and maintain production equipment, including extruders, dies, and downstream equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
Ensure that safety and environmental regulations are followed, and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
Work closely with other departments, including sales, engineering, and maintenance, to ensure that production goals are aligned with overall business objectives.
Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
Maintain accurate records of production data and prepare regular reports for management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in production management-Plastics manufacturing preferred
5yrs experience in the plastic manducating processes, including design, tooling, and production; Blow molding, rotational molding preferred, thermoforming, injection molding etc.. considered
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $132,000.00 per year
