Plastic Express operates from 18 warehouse locations and 37 rail terminals across the US. At many of the Plastic Express sites, we also handle some Non-plastic commodities, which include;

paper rolls, steel, building materials and other dry bulk materials. Plastic Express owns and operates roughly 190 trucks, with approximately 227 trailers performing full bulk truck distribution business.

Qualifications : College degree preferred 5 years experience as customer service in the transportation industry preferred Professional, friendly phone presence Possess a high level of proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to multitask, prioritize and work under stress Highest quality written and verbal communication skills Type 40 wpm with 100% accuracy Knowledge of bulk commodities industry rates and terms a plus Willingness to be cross-trained in other departments Job Summary : The Customer Service Supervisor is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of customers and staff.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include overseeing and assessing customer service staff activities, strategizing and monitoring daily activities of customer service operation, training, investigating and solving customer complaints, maintaining documentation pertaining to customer service, appraising work performance, and performing additional duties where as needed.

This position will build a strong relationship with customers while enforcing new and existing policy and procedures to accomplish desired results.

Demonstrate clear and organized communication. Will play a collaborative role in growing and implementing new and existing standards and processes working alongside customers.

Provide staff with assistance in performing difficult or complicated duties. Plan and prepare work schedules, and assign employees to specific duties.

Coordinate structured meetings as needed. Implement monthly inventory cycle counts as required. Assign duties or work schedules to employees. Contact current or potential customers to promote products or services. Explain technical product or service information to customers.

Gather customer or product information to determine customer needs. Work Content : Physical Demands The employee occasionally Stands;

Being able to access and switch between applications and files of interest. Spreadsheets Using a computer application to enter, manipulate, and format text and numerical data;

insert, delete, and manipulate cells, rows, and columns; and create and save worksheets, charts, and graphs. Word Processing Using a computer application to type text, insert pictures, format, edit, print, save, and retrieve word processing documents Knowledge : Required English Language Administration Customer and Personal Service Preferred Sales and Marketing Personnel and Human Resources Tools : Mobile phones Technology : Customer relationship management CRM software Internet browser software Position Type / Expected Hours of Work : This is a full-time position.

Days of work are Monday through Friday.
