Assistant Controller

As the Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining legal entity financial records for our firm’s subsidiaries. Working with our team, you will be responsible for the general ledger reconciliations and reporting with a focus on building best-in-class processes. What You Will Do:

• Understand Platform’s vision and support the firm’s goals and values.
• Perform general accounting duties for the organization including entering transactions and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Assist in the monthly and quarterly closes to ensure all accounting entries are entered accurately and timely.
• Verify and complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable.
• Monitor firm’s AR and serve as liaison with individual unit office managers to ensure timely collection
• Assist with the enhancement of policies and procedures to enable the firm to execute on its strategy.
• Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
  

What We Look For:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2-5 years professional accounting experience including transactional work and reconciliations.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, strong analytical skills.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Advanced MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and working knowledge of ERP systems preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Bill.com and Divvy expense management software a major plus.
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to self-manage projects.
