We are looking for a deadline-driven Assistant Project Superintendent to support the Project Superintendent in overseeing our hospitality construction projects and to act as the link between various project parties. The Assistant Project Superintendent will help to lead and manage the on-site construction team and oversee all work on site. The Assistant Project Superintendent will be responsible for orderliness on-site and ensure compliance with safety regulations. You will ensure quality standards are met, and all equipment and materials are always available on-site. You will liaise with inspection authorities regarding approvals as well as hotel staff.
To ensure success you should complete projects on time and within budget, and never compromise on quality. Top candidates will be strong leaders, pro-active, and perform well under pressure.
Assistant Project Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Assist in leading and managing the on-site construction team.
- Aid with coordinating and overseeing all work on site.
- Attend production meetings.
- Review daily activities and schedule with hotel staff.
- Reviewing and becoming familiar with the schedule and budget and ensuring adherence to these.
- Ensuring quality standards are met.
- Placing orders for materials and is responsible for equipment and materials on site.
- Work with the Project Superintendent to follow the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
- Monitor and ensure on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness.
- Maintain records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders, and RFIs.
- Liaise with inspection authorities regarding approvals.
Assistant Project Superintendent Requirements:
· Ability to live and work on-site for the duration of the project if needed up to three weeks at a time.
· Ability to travel 75-90% of the time nationwide during an active project.
· Flexibility to adjust workdays and times frequently and with little to no notice.
· Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel.
· Experience with scheduling software, Procore, Bluebeam, and Adobe preferred.
· Proficient with taking and uploading digital photographs.
· Ability to lift 40 pounds and to operate a forklift.
· Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Outstanding organizational skills.
· Valid driver’s license and Insurable driving record.
