PreK Counts Teacher

Play & Learn of Lansdale is seeking enthusiastic individual to join our team of dynamic educators as a preschool teacher in our Pre-K Counts class.

Play & Learn is proud to be one of the few early childhood organizations in Montgomery County to offer the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Pre-K Counts program, a free early learning program for qualifying families. The program utilizes an appropriate curriculum that is aligned with state and local standards for kindergarten.

This is a 10 month position. M-F, 9:00am-3:00pm . Additional hours are available.

Responsibilities for this position include but not limited to:

• Meet the individual needs of the children providing the highest quality of care
• Develop Lesson plans
• Implement Play & Learn’s Curriculum
• Support our children and families as a member of a team
• Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment
• Promote a nurturing and learning environment
• Create a multi-cultural learning environment
• Engage and encourage creativity through art, music, and play
• Plan and implement activities that develop self-esteem and social skills
• Participate in staff and training meetings

Qualified applicants for this position will meet the following requirements:

• B.A.or B.S. in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education with core in Early Childhood or related field.
• PA Instructional I Certification in Early Childhood Education.
• Previous documented experiences with young children.
