Retail Sales Associate

Play It Again Sports Austell is looking for a Retail Sales Associate with knowledge and enthusiasm in sports and fitness to engage customers by providing excellent service, deliver large equipment to customer locations, perform sales transactions accurately, and keeping a clean and organized store environment. The Associate is expected to be engaged in these tasks as assigned during all working hours and will be expected to perform a range of functions in all areas of the store as business needs require. The Associate may be requested to perform additional tasks in specific situations, if performance of these tasks will help achieve our Customer service and operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers by making eye contact, smiling, and welcoming them to the store.

• Answer phone calls promptly with a greeting.

• Perform sale and return transactions accurately.

• Promote “buying used equipment” and loyalty programs during customer interactions.

• Provide prompt and efficient responses to customers at all times.

• Organize products to adhere to a standard of a well-maintained and merchandised store.

• Demonstrate a sense of urgency to efficiently perform their role. Maximizes productivity by executing all best practices and minimizing steps and touches in their work flow.

• Stay up-to-date with new products.

• Perform cleaning tasks such as removing stains, dusting, and disinfecting used sports & fitness equipment that is bought from customers; and cleaning the store in general.

Qualifications:

• Have an interest and knowledge in sports and the ability to talk to people about them.
• Prior experience in similar business environments, e.g. Dick's Sporting Goods, Sports Authority, Academy Sports, etc. is advantageous.
• Have an outgoing personality and the ability to relay product information, brand concepts and event information to customers. (Training provided.)
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. unaided.

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $9.00 - $15.00 per hour

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
