We are looking for a highly motivated, organized and creative individuals that would like to join our team. We provide a community centric, year around play-based child care program allowing children to create without limits, explore their interest and individuality, discover the power of choice and imagine the possibilities of the world around them.
Shift Supervisor:
- Responsible for assisting with daily operations and supervision of team members during shift
- Scheduling team members as needed and calling substitutes when needed for coverage
- Ensure all daily reports are ran & end of day procedures are completed
- Carries out any closing or cleaning duties as needed, in absence of a team member, needed to successfully close the school
- Holds Team Members accountable by double checking duties/tasks and making sure they are completed successfully
- Ensure that staff receives the proper training and skills necessary to meet the centers standards.
- Ensure that personnel policies and procedures are developed and implemented, providing for a healthy working environment and a unified team.
- Ensure parents are greeted and customer service is a top priority
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the center to observe and assess.
- Provide support and encouragement for all staff in professional growth and improvement.
- Implement appropriate decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
Mentor Teachers Duties & Responsibilities:
- Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum to nurture and stimulate the social, physical, cognitive and cultural needs of the children in care.
- Rotation of interest area materials, wall hangings, boards, etc to align with ECERS and ITERS
- Activities are prepared, organized and implemented to facilitate learning.
- Completeness of Class Roster and regular head counts.
- Responsible and able to manage teacher to child ratios and daily operations of program.
- Carries out the mission, vision and values of the child care program.
- Maintains an open, friendly and cooperative relationship with each child, their families and other team members.
- Conduct interactions in a positive, flexible and friendly demeanor.
- Responsible for developing or collaborating with co-teacher regarding lesson plans for the classroom/program.
- Maintains a safe, kind, and clean classroom.
- Creates an inviting and stimulating environment for the children.
- Ability to work with a diverse population.
- Responsible for securing health, hygiene, safety and overall well-being of children at all times.
- Maintains confidentiality of records and information of staff, children and families.
- The ability to bend, stoop and lift children up to 50 pounds.
- This job involves working in a child care center environment.
- The employee must have the ability to work around children.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 12 Completed Units of coursework (including Infant units) in Early Childhood Education (ECE) including 3 units in Administration and 4 years of experience working in a licensed child care facility with children under the age of 5.
Must meet or exceed Director Requirements of Community Care licensing for Infant and Preschool.
Other Requirements:
- Certification and Possession of valid Child/ Pediatric CPR and First Aid
- Completion of the 16 hour Preventative Health course and communicable disease training.
- Proof of MMR, Tdap, COVID and flu shot (optional) Immunizations.
- Background check clearance (LiveScan) on file with Community Care Licensing or ability to obtain clearance.
- Ability to provide the Health Screening Report with TB testing from a Physician prior to employment.
- Mandated reporter training & Pest Management Training per CCLD requirements.
