THE ROLE
Firewalk Studios is looking for a Senior Producer who is interested in applying their skills to help bring exceptional entertainment to millions of players. As our Senior Gameplay Producer, you will be responsible for coordinating between multiple disciplines to deliver highly cross-functional systems that span nearly every specialization in the game. Your focus will be on long-term planning and scheduling while balancing the needs of individual contributors of the team. A successful Senior Producer is a force multiplier who gets their team across the finish line on time and under budget while keeping Leads and Directors appraised of progress along the way.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Day to day collaboration with several teams and discipline Leads to define scope for new implementation and building scenarios for the road ahead based on that information.
- Facilitating multiple meetings per day to align decisions across major features.
- Update project roadmaps based off new information you've absorbed from several teams.
- Prepare clear list of work to drive the prioritization and negotiation of a collaborative cross-functional milestone plan.
- Identify blocking issues or misalignment, proposing solutions, driving towards a solve while communicating with all the stakeholders to ensure communication with all stakeholders.
- Participating in game playtests and providing feedback regarding your experience and impressions with your teammates.
- Drive review meetings, organizing feedback, while tracking and prioritizing action items and tasks.
- Work with leadership to improve a critical process, gathering feedback and driving alignment across multiple disciplines.
- Care deeply about creating and fostering healthy and strong teams
- Understand the importance of empathy and emotional intelligence in the workplace
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 10 years of games industry experience directly supporting product development in a production or similar role
- Experience supporting large scale, 150 person, AAA games through all phases of development from ideation to launch
- At least one shipped AAA PC or console title as a Senior Producer
- Mastery of a variety of project management techniques in an internal development environment coupled with deep experience building and maintaining schedules
- Previous experience managing, guiding and mentoring junior producers
- Familiarity with various internal game production pipelines and software
- Expert understanding of Jira, or transferable knowledge based on similar project tracking software
- 4 year undergraduate college degree or equivalent skill set
- Game Design domain knowledge is a PLUS
