Position Summary:
As a Residential Maintenance Technician/Handyman at Pledge Property Management, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks in occupied apartments and common areas within our property portfolio. This position requires exceptional trustworthiness, as it involves entering occupied units. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills and have experience in general repairs and painting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs in occupied apartments and common areas, ensuring the highest quality and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct routine inspections of apartments and identify maintenance issues or repair needs.
- Carry out painting tasks, including patching, priming, and applying paint as necessary to maintain the aesthetic appearance of the units.
- Handle simple plumbing repairs, such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing faucets or toilets.
- Perform basic electrical repairs, such as replacing switches, outlets, and light fixtures.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor HVAC issues.
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and time spent.
- Adhere to safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with residents, addressing their concerns and inquiries effectively.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and high efficiency.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and after-hours as needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
