HOW YOU WILL DO IT
Purpose Statement: To perform design services and other related product development and/or product commercialization support services.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Develops design/product concepts that are innovative, high-quality, cost-appropriate, and satisfy all stakeholder's (customer, manufacturing, material, agency, etc.) needs and requirements through an established area of technical specialty and mentorship of others on the global discipline team.
- Demonstrates effective communications (teleconference, email, and in-person) through interaction with customers (internal and external) regarding project technical subject matter.
- Demonstrates skill in multiple phases of the full product realization process, as it applies to their role.
- Serves as a technical lead providing technical guidance, controlling scope, schedule, budget and ensuring discipline technical success on small to mid-size projects and is a contributor to continuous improvement activities associated with their technical discipline, and/or project-level tools or processes.
- Assists project management in the development of proposals to ensure accurate technical, staffing, budgetary, and schedule content.
Additional Accountabilities:
- Effectively perform all of the Job Accountabilities & Functions of a Designer II.
- Supports the Lean culture and effectively utilizes Lean Six Sigma concepts and tools to identify and eliminate waste while improving processes.
- Possess and demonstrate the Plexus Values (Customer Focus, Relationships & Teamwork, Excellence, Open Communication, and Integrity).

- Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated <10%).
- Additional duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- A minimum of an Associate's degree is required.
- Eight (8) years of related experience is required; Eight (8) or more years of related experience is preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

Work Environment:
- The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
