This role is entirely office-based at our corporate headquarters in Mayfield Village, OH. Please note that we are not providing relocation assistance or remote work options.
The Data Warehouse and Analysis Specialist will lead the conversion of our existing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solution into Microsoft’s Fabric platform. This resource will also support the existing feeds from our existing ERP applications to ensure the data integrity of our existing warehouses. The ideal candidate will work closely with our business teams to extend the data coverage in the new warehouse, ensuring seamless integration and enhanced data analytics capabilities, including the proposal of advanced and AI analytics that will support key business decisions.
Essential Functions
The Data Warehouse and Analysis Specialist will lead the conversion of our existing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solution into Microsoft’s Fabric platform. This resource will also support the existing feeds from our existing ERP applications to ensure the data integrity of our existing warehouses. The ideal candidate will work closely with our business teams to extend the data coverage in the new warehouse, ensuring seamless integration and enhanced data analytics capabilities, including the proposal of advanced and AI analytics that will support key business decisions.
Essential Functions
- Design and implement robust data warehousing solutions within Microsoft’s Fabric environment, including Data Lakes and Lake Houses.
- Collaborate with business units to understand their data needs and integrate these requirements into the data warehouse design.
- Coordinate the migration of existing data from IaaS to Microsoft’s Fabric, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
- Establish data standards using Microsoft Purview to provide consistency for all applicable data elements.
- Develop and automate Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes, incorporating error and reconciliation handling.
- Create dimensional models with conformed dimensions that reflect the business processes.
- Utilize data warehousing tools to monitor system performance and reliability.
- Perform data profiling and analysis to identify and resolve data anomalies.
- Establish data governance practices to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
- Generate reports, visualizations, and dashboards to support business decision-making using the Microsoft Power BI platform.
- Provide training and technical support to users of the data warehouse system.
- Provide database support for the infrastructure that is used to deliver the solution
- Use data analysis and insights to work with the business to create Advanced Analytics and Predictive Reports to help with key business processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5 Years of experience is with Build and Maintaining Data Warehouses using Microsoft Tools (including Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric).
- 10 years experience in IT-related positions.
- Proven experience in data warehouse design and implementation, particularly within Microsoft’s ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
- Hand-on experience with ETL tools and processes
- Familiarity with data modeling and reporting tools, especially Power BI and Semantic Data Models
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Knowledge and Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft SharePoint
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, Power BI, Data Lakes, and Lake Houses
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft’s Data Warehouse as a Service
- Knowledge and Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, SQL Server, Oracle Databases, and other associated Data Interface Software
- Ability to work both independently and on a team.
- Ability to train resources on the use of Power BI Reports
