Description

 BUILDING COMPONENTS AND EQUIPMENT: Ensure all building components and equipment are in good working condition to avoid interruption of guest service or an impact on safety to patrons or staff.

  • Responsible for expeditious repair and maintenance initiates for building interior and exterior
  • Thoughtfully build, send, qualify, award project RFP’s
  • Communicate with landlord on maintenance issues that pertain to leasing agreement
  • Respond to emergency situations by helping to initiate and execute steps to resolve
  • Inform Department Heads of project scope, date changes or conflicts that affect store operation
  • Provide recommendations to Leadership for improvement to existing site conditions
  • Monitor equipment performance, routine maintenance, and warranty status
  • Monitor and communicate deficiencies with building components and equipment performance
  • Analyze and report on work order metrics to identify areas of opportunity for operator training, manufacturer engagement and service gaps.
  • Identify areas that contribute to high R&M cost and respond diligently to decrease those costs
  • Ensure restaurant staff are correctly and consistently following maintenance practice
  • Coach restaurant managers and staff on how to maintain interior and exterior building components and equipment
  • Understand the basic functions of building systems including but not limited to fire safety system, security system, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing system, cooking equipment
  • Conduct annual review for all Programs and Contracts
  • Perform bi-annual site audit at each restaurant location; prioritize and budget improvements 
  • Perform site visits as necessary for special projects or emergencies

VENDOR MANAGEMENT: Ensure that Pluckers Wing Bar continues to build and sustain strong relationships with the best service providers in the industry

  • Develop and nurture service provider relationships and seek new partnerships
  • Identify and vet new partnership opportunities for service providers that meet our company standards
  • Resolve disputes between restaurant management and service providers
  • Manage service providers always ensuring cost effective solutions, complete scope of work, appropriate pricing, quality workmanship and timely completion of projects

DEVELOPMENT: Develop refined programs to alleviate uncertainties and establish Pluckers Wing Bar methodology of best practices in the industry. 

  • Implement and maintain store training program detailing R&M issues pertinent to operations
  • Create a Disaster Response Plan detailing course of action for circumstances including but not limited to natural disasters, burglary, fire, power outage to ensure business continuity
  • Develop a budget for annual expenses to include capital improvements, general R&M, equipment replacement, and minor re-modeling projects
  • Develop vendor training initiatives that enrich the partnership
  • Develop templates for RFP, Scope of Work, Terms & Conditions that demonstrate Pluckers Wing Bar standards and expectations
  • Train restaurant and area managers on warranties pertaining to building components and equipment

ADMINISTRATIVE: Ensure that all administrative duties are completed effectively and timely

  • Liaison between ownership, landlord, restaurant, contractors and service providers
  • Process property loss insurance claims 
  • Respond timely to OSHA complaints 
  • Respond timely to AFI loss prevention surveys
  • Under the direction of the Director of Facilities & Construction, set SMART goals for departmental growth and monitor success
  • Serve as Corrigo System Administrator by supporting users and adding new location assets

FINANCE: Ensure that all estimates, quotes and invoices are reviewed and responded to timely

  • Review and approve all R&M invoices over $500; research and dispute to final payment agreement
  • Research or dispute invoices to final resolution
  • Review departmental financials including estimates, quotes, and invoices for repair and maintenance items

This role is responsible for departmental oversight to ensure goals and expectations are always met. This role would be responsible for designing training programs for our operators and vendors, MRO procurement, vendor relationships, and other managerial level tasks as they are assigned.


Hours and Work Environment:

  • Full-time, Monday-Friday.
  • This role is based in our Austin offices with frequent field visits to Texas restaurants. **This is not a remote position*
  • Flexibility to periodically travel for overnight stay to restaurant locations in Texas

Requirements

  •   Minimum 5 years of multi-unit restaurant experience in facilities management or management
  • Understand the basic functions of building systems including but not limited to fire safety system, security system,      refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing system, cooking equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook 
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations is a plus
  • Preferred working knowledge of Corrigo or similar
  • Superior ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and demands simultaneously
  • Capable of answering calls from after hour emergency hotline 7 days per month
  • Impeccable self-motivation, attention to detail, time-management and organization skills
  • Effectively collaborate and communicate with a sense of urgency with all levels of management
  • Consistent, positive attitude and respect for high quality standards
  • Contribute to a culture of rapid turnaround and extremely high attentiveness with partners

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
