Your responsibility is to ensure all incoming products are clearly identified and labeled, setting the stage for smooth warehouse operations.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Efficient Processing: Handle incoming shipments promptly and accurately.
- Product Identification: Ensure all incoming products are clearly identified and labeled.
- Damage Checks: Inspect incoming freight for damage and process according to company policies.
- Tag-and-Hold Management: Enter tag-and-hold locations into the system quickly and efficiently.
- Product Removal: Remove tag-and-hold products from incoming shipments.
- Efficient Movement: Relocate incoming shipments to put-away zones swiftly and efficiently.
- Scheduling: Schedule incoming shipments to optimize the delivery process.
- Discrepancy Notifications: Notify the Purchasing Department of any receiving discrepancies.
- Quality Control: Report any quality or inventory issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Organized Area: Maintain a clear and accessible tag-and-hold area.
- Accurate Paperwork: Process and print paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Organizational Goals: Strive for "A Place for Everything and Everything in its Place."
- Team Collaboration: Contribute to a team-focused environment.
- Cross-Functional Support: Assist the warehouse shipping team with pulling, filling, packing, and setting up orders for delivery or pickup when receiving work is complete.
- Inventory Counts: Assist in after-hours scheduled physical inventory counts.
- Clean Workspace: Keep the receiving area clean and organized.
- Security: Help keep the facility secure.
- Safety Practices: Maintain a safe, unobstructed work area, follow all safety procedures, and use appropriate safety equipment.
- Policy Adherence: Follow company policies and procedures.
- Professional Communication: Interact and communicate professionally with other employees.
- Continuous Improvement: Communicate the company's commitment to continuous improvement processes.
- Technology Proficiency: Use personal computers and other common office equipment proficiently.
- Teamwork: Promote teamwork and cooperative efforts.
- Customer Relations: Practice positive customer relations and constructive problem-solving.
- Skill Maintenance: Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Inventory Counts: Schedule and oversee physical inventory counts.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of two years in a related position and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Progression: Minimum 1-2 years in a progressive position.
- Preferred Skills:
- Product/application experience.
