DAILY EXPECTATIONS

We are looking for a detail oriented candidate who loves to always be on task! The perfect person would be one who loves to clean up, keep things organized and assist in keeping the 2 Plumbing Nerds locations bathrooms, offices, and kitchens looking as fabulous as you are!

This position will require long days on your feet and dedicated work ethic.

Custodian Tasks

Ensure that all assigned areas are cleaned and sanitized according to departmental procedures. This includes dusting, mopping, vacuuming, spot cleaning carpets, washing walls, furniture, and fixtures.

Remove waste and rubbish from the premises to the designated area.

Vacuum all rugs and carpeted areas in offices, lobbies, and corridors.

Sanitize and polish all glass furniture tops.

Clean and sanitize common surfaces including doors, door frames, around light switches, private entrance glass, and partitions.

Wash, clean, and sanitize all water coolers.

Sweep, with broom, all private stairways, and vacuum if carpeted.

Police stairwells and clean or damp mop spillage.

Damp-mop or clean any spillage in office and public areas as required.

Damp dust telephones.

Dust all picture frames, charts, graphs, and similar wall hangings.

Damp dust all ceiling air conditioning diffusers, wall grilles, register, and other ventilating louvers.

Damp dust the exterior surfaces of lighting fixtures, including glass and plastic enclosures.

Keep slop sink rooms in a clean, neat, and orderly condition.

Dust and/or wash all directory boards as required, remove fingerprints and smudges.

Clean and sanitize entrance door glass inside and outside.

Properly clean and buff tile floor services as needed.

Comply with social distancing requirements and safety guidelines published by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), OSHA, or similar agencies as ordered by federal, State and local governments.

Associates must wear all provided and necessary PPE in accordance with position and OSHA requirements.

Follow all safety and personnel rules and regulations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Being able to appropriately use cleaning tools and chemicals.

Warehouse tasks

Organize and load products for delivery utilizing the most efficient delivery route and schedule.

Gather appropriate paperwork for deliveries.

Delivering products as per technician requirements (i.e. 2nd Floor, Receiving or Reception etc) obtaining signatures and completing all required paperwork.

Accept returns from customers, completing appropriate paperwork and return to shop. Place the product in the return area with appropriate documentation.

Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and report any maintenance problems to supervisor.

Preferred Skills and Experience

1 to 3 years in a service-oriented position

Ability to use mobile iPad or similar

Knowledge of safe work practices

Ability to work without supervision; organize and manage time

Ability to work in a warehouse environment in all types of weather

Ability to drive throughout assigned routes in all kinds of weather and road conditions safely

Ability to work safely within tight time constraints in a fast paced environment

Good verbal and written communication skills required. Interpersonal skills a plus

OUR MUST'S

Must be honest & ethical

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent driving experience

Must be at least 21 years of age

Must be a team player and able to work well with minimum supervision

Ability to lift, push or pull items weighing 70 pounds on occasion up to 100 pounds, navigate and read a map

Must have a valid driver’s license (no “major moving violations” as described in the employment application supplement and in accordance with applicable state law)

Must have a strong attention to detail

Must have a positive attitude and a true interest to personally improve

Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

The position requires a considerable amount of physical activity including walking, standing for lengthy periods of time, lifting up to 70 pounds, climbing ladders, squatting/kneeling, crawling in tight spaces and reaching/grasping.

Equal amount of time spent indoors and outdoors with exposure to hot or cold temperatures for one or more hours.
