PLUS Communications is looking for a Shooter to join our growing team! This role is for you if you love to travel, are a motivated self-starter, who is technically savvy, creative and able to roll with a nonstop, ever-changing shooting schedule.

You will work under the Director of Photography, supporting them in all things pre-production, on set shooting, and smoothly transitioning the project into post-production. This position is 50% travel and 50% in office. Note: This job is just as much planning and scheduling as it is shooting. This position requires you to work in our Arlington, Virginia office.
Responsibilities will include:
- Build b-roll shot lists from scripts and production meetings
- Scout locations for b-roll setups and create storyboards
- Build and prep cameras
- Travel with camera package
- Interface with local crew and send call sheets
- Scout locations
- Drive crew van
- Shoot and direct participants in b-roll footage
- Operate the B-Camera during interview and script setups
- Download camera media to shuttle drives
- Create and upload transcript files in Adobe Media Encoder
- Edit together string outs and best takes in Adobe Premiere Pro
- Write shoot summaries

- A strong understanding of image composition and lighting
- Strong knowledge of Apple computers and related media software
- Experience with Adobe Premiere and Adobe Media Encoder
- Ability to thrive in the small team dynamic where you pitch in where needed
Bonus points for:
- Experience with Arriflex and Canon Cinema camera systems
- Experience with media management software such as Shotput Pro, Sliverstack, or Hedge
- Holding a current Part 107 remote pilot certificate and experience flying drones
- Experience shooting still photography and time lapse
- Experience managing video servers, cloud backups, and LTO archives
- Experience with color correction, audio, remote focus, gimbals, teleprompters, cranes, wireless video transmitters, video streaming, cloud services
