As a Technical Program Manager - Software, you will play a key role in helping to organize the work and team to meeting the key deliverables for autonomous technology projects.
Responsibilities
- Partner deeply with the head of infrastructure software to identify and drive successful program execution across all software teams, including but not limited to: Cloud Infrastructure platforms, Data platforms, Developer platforms, Perception platforms, and Hardware in the Loop platforms
- Partner with product integration and software leads to define scope, key metrics, staffing, and infrastructure capabilities aligned with the product roadmap.
- Identify and remove obstacles to drive momentum and progress; identify gaps in communication or schedule; and manage issue escalations and support to teams balancing competing priorities
- Track and communicate issues, risks, and statuses across software engineering teams and software deployments. Create reports and visualizations to help the team understand dependencies to ensure timelines, budget, and other requirements are met
- Develop presentations to summarize project progress and highlight key points to the software team and leadership.
- Understand technical implementation at the architectural level and propose technical alternatives when necessary; function as a go-to for project management mentorship
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a software engineering related field
- Experience with modern infrastructure systems at scale, including cloud computing systems, automated data pipelines, developer infrastructure, and/or middleware
- Experience with autonomous vehicles, safety critical systems, large-scale engineering development, or R&D environments is beneficial
- Experience in working in environments that have hardware and software integration is beneficial
- Solid technical background and an ability to understand technical designs, software development lifecycle, challenges and risks; ability to work closely with engineers and engineering leads
- Strong experience in project management; practical familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and ability to apply them where best suited
- Experience with Jira and Apache products like superset is beneficial
