What are the responsibilities and job description for the Extrusion Lead position at Ply Gem?
Responsible for adhering to the Extrusion schedule efficiently and meeting rates daily. Train and develop Extrusion staff in the extrusion process for 2nd shift. Enforce Company policies and procedures regarding safety and Company rules.
Candidate must demonstrate a positive attitude and good attendance
Must conduct all job duties in a safe manner
Must follow all company rules, policies, and procedures
Will train in Safety, Quality, Productivity, and 5S
Must be a team player and work well with others
Execute company policies
Conduct audits as required
Manage production schedule
Required to complete leadership training and have basic computer skills
Manage production inventory
Must have initiative and ability to effectively manage assigned work
Must be flexible regarding schedule
Ability to use a tape measure, calipers, and other measurement tools as required
Experience with Microsoft Office applications preferred
Experience with Line Balancing and Problem Solving preferred
Must have a high school diploma or equivalentExcellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in basic math
