About the job:
The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and execute a content marketing plan which aligns with demand generation efforts, including new content development, content roadmap and calendar. The Content Marketing Specialist will distribute new assets through various outlets including marketing automation platform, website, sales presentations and social media. This position is responsible for driving MQL conversions which result in revenue.
What you’ll be doing:
- Create original written content including press releases, white papers, blogs and articles Proof, edit and repurposed existing marketing assets (technical articles, sell sheets and other content)
- Collaborate with operations, sales & marketing, technical leaders, and others across the organization to develop new marketing assets (presentations, sell sheets, case studies, press releases, web content)
- Use of a variety of marketing technology platforms to share content, including Marketing Automation Platforms
- Create regular touch points with customers, leads and prospects via strategic email marketing campaigns
- Plan marketing messaging for campaigns, trade shows and social media
- Update website with newly created content
- Optimize webpages (SEO, keyword research, conversions)
- Adapt content for sharing with social media audience
- Work with Demand Gen manager to analyze performance data to identify wins as well as potential areas for testing and optimization
- Work with outside marketing consultants and agencies as needed
- Research and develop required content for specified projects utilizing meetings, phone conversations, internal databases, and online research
- Ensure all marketing content is factually accurate and clearly communicates the intended message
- Report data analytics and strategic insights from content marketing effort
- Track responses from email marketing campaigns within company CRM platform
- Assist day-to-day reporting of CRM data company-wide
- Perform other marketing duties as assigned
Competencies/Desired Characteristics:
- Proven experience in B2B marketing communications required
- Attention to detail is a must
- Proficient knowledge of print and digital marketing communication tools and techniques, and related developments such as social media and campaign marketing
- 1-3 Years of experience in Email Marketing required
- 2-4 years of experience in Content Writing required
- Experience using a CRM
- Proficient in (Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat)
- Quick study on technology platforms
- Enthusiastic and self-confident
- Driven, resourceful and independent
- Self-directed with ability to manage a complex set of competing priorities, needs and aggressive deadlines
- Strong team player
- Ability to synthesize data into concise, relevant and actionable information
- Proven ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
- Writing samples required with resume
