ORACLE DEVELOPER

Job Description:

The Oracle Application Developer role will require an individual to support the full life cycle development of custom Oracle Applications using the Oracle APEX tool set. Additionally, this candidate will also reverse engineer and document to standards existing APEX applications and data flows.

The successful candidate will be accountable to:

• Perform requirements analysis, development, design, test, and deployment of custom Oracle applications
• Design and maintain custom Oracle applications using Oracle APEX
• Develop and extend scripts in SQL, PL/SQL for data conversion, data migration and data validation
• Develop a deployment road map and necessary change control process documentation
• Maintain metadata and documentation on all areas of development work products
• Document supporting policies, processes and procedures within your areas of responsibilities
• Maintain assigned systems in accordance with agency requirements
• Creation of dynamic reports using Oracle APEX environment
• Adherence to policies, processes and procedures within your areas of responsibility

Experience, Education & Training:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
• 1 year experience with Oracle APEX; experience with Oracle APEX 5.1. This is an application development position that requires candidates have understanding and experience with the full scope of the SDLC using APEX.
• 3-5 years of experience as an Oracle developer
• 3-5 years of experience querying and analyzing data within Oracle databases
• Experience with SQL scripting in a Linux environment
• Experience in reverse engineering SQL, PL/SQL and APEX constructs into easy to understand documentation
• Working knowledge of Oracle database objects – tables, views, indexes, directories, sequences, packages, procedures,
• functions, triggers, packages, etc.
• Experience using Oracle Integrated Development Environments such as Quest Toad and/or Oracle SQL Developer
• Familiarity with shell scripting in Windows and Linux
• Ability to work both independently and with teams
• CompTIA Security (preferred)

Experience:

• Oracle Development: 3 years (Required)
• APEX 5.1: 1 year (Required)
• querying and analyzing data within Oracle databases: 3 years (Required)
