Fairchild: Media Planner

FMG seeks an entry-level Media Planner to support our sales and marketing teams across WWD, Beauty Inc and Footwear News. In this role, the Media Planner will support our sales efforts by being the lead in the digital sales planning process, help with logistics, and maintaining organization amongst our leadership team.

The Media Planner will ensure the pre-sale RFP process runs smoothly. This person will be the point person for the entire pre-sale process, from RFP response and ideation to IO bookings.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, familiarity with the media landscape, interest in fashion, beauty and footwear industries and is well-organized and adept at supporting multiple tasks and projects.

What you’ll do:

• Media plan ideation and creation, working with multiple marketing and sales teams to put together media plans that meet our advertising partners’ needs.
• Advertising calendar management, ensuring no takeover/newsletter dates are overbooked.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Editorial in pre-sale work, including developing proposals and campaign strategies that tie directly to client objectives and KPIs.
• Utilize performance data and insights to strategize on proposals to ensure we put ourselves in a position to over preform for our clients.
• OMS (Placements.IO) management, inputting sold programs into Placements.IO.

Responsibilities: 

• Act as a lead for the pre-sale digital planning process, create and manage IO bookings, and ensure campaigns run smoothly
• Manage advertising inventory, ensuring no takeover/newsletter dates are overbooked
• Assist marketing and sales team to put together media plans that meet our advertising partners’ needs
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Events in pre-sale work, including developing proposals and campaign strategies that tie directly to client objectives and KPIs
• Provide administrative support, execute strategic needs, and lead special projects for our president
• Support sales, marketing teams in our ad sales efforts across all of our key categories including fashion, beauty, footwear, retail, finance, and technology
• Support our events team during key moments, including pre and day-of event support
• Foster a positive work environment and culture of collaboration and innovation

What you'll bring:

• 1-2 years of media planning or related business experience, preferably with an agency or publisher.
• Experience working with Microsoft Suite, Salesforce, Prisma, Placements.IO or similar OMS.

Typical wage range: $58k – 69k

Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits. PMC is committed to the health and wellness of our employees.
