PMC: PR Manager, Penske Autosport

Penske Media Corp. (PMC) is hiring a PR Manager to join an international motorsport property, Penske Autosport. The PR Manager will be responsible for the communication element of the company and the relationship with the press, raising the brand’s profile and building a strong following on various social media networks.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and build upon existing relationships with key industry reporters and influencers to help communicate the brand’s unique positioning. 
• Help manage media inquiries and interview requests. 
• Multitask and shift gears nimbly in a fast-paced environment managing schedules and PR strategy for high-profile individuals/drivers  including booking, updating and confirming appointments and meetings regularly to ensure schedules are efficient 
• Monitor, analyze and communicate PR and social media results on a regular basis. 
• Manage communication of the company
• Prepare and publish team Press Releases and interact with partners and journalists.
• Manage communication on track activities between our drivers, team representative and journalists
• Generate a PR Plan for the 2023 season
• Adhere to deadlines of PR cadence
• Write, edit, and schedule the posting of content adhering to the highest journalistic standards

 Requirements:

• PR and social media management and strategy (3 years)
• Speak/write French preferred
• Good judgment as to what drives audience engagement in sports business
• Ability to generate bi-weekly and monthly reports showing impressions and engagement of PR and social messaging
• Ability to present social strategies and business results to senior leadership
• Possess a deep understanding of analytics and data (knowledge of Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, SocialFlow and similar programming tools)
• International travel and weekend availability

Typical wage range: $90k - $110k annual discretionary bonus
Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits. PMC is committed to the health and wellness of our employees. As part of our company-wide rollout of PMC’s paid healthcare plan, effective for this role July 1, 2023, the company will pay 100% of the monthly health, dental and vision plan premiums for the employee and their family.
