$2,500 Sign-on Bonus

Earn $500 at 60 days of employment, $1,000 at 6 months of employment, and $1,000 at 1 year of employment!

Must be hired between 10/11/2021 - 12/31/2021

This position sets up and operates metal machines (Press Brakes) in accordance with quality standards. Press Brake Operators spend most of their shift on their feet, operating their machine on the manufacturing floor. This position requires the physical strength to lift up to 5 - 25 pounds continuously and repetitively throughout entire shift.

All candidates will be given a Press Brake skill assessment at time of the interview; reading and interpreting machine blueprints. No actual bending will take place during the interview skill assessment.

SHIFT SCHEDULES AVALIABLE:

  • 2nd Shift: Mondays - Thursdays; 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM
  • WK 1st Shift: Fridays - Sundays; 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (Work 36, be paid for 40!)
  • Overtime when needed

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned as needed.

  • Inspect and dimensionally check production to ensure production output meets quality and print requirements
  • Utilize properly calibrated precision measuring instruments when performing inspections
  • Perform safety switch functioning
  • Segregate and periodically dispose of scrap material into approved collection containers
  • Maintain an accurate record of all work performed in the appropriate company format
  • Maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly manner
  • Based on production specifications and/or Lead’s instructions, select and set-up tools, equipment and machines required for quality productions
  • Review machine tooling requirements and plan set-up/operations to optimize flow of work through the cell/department
  • Make machine/tooling adjustments to bring non-conforming out-put into specifications
  • Understand deflect of material and spring back along the piece
  • Learn to adjust and control RAM speeds on the press as it comes down to bend the parts
  • Learn different type of bending of aluminum and steel taking into account material growth or shrinking
  • Ability to make new programs on the machine
  • Load thickness, bends, and tolerances of the material
  • Complete reference sheets for complicated parts
  • Set-up tooling needed
  • Bend sequence of part
  • Know when to add shims (.010, .020)
  • Know when to put different I-axis blocks
  • Understand V-opening in dies vs. material thickness
  • Read a variety of prints from simple to challenging
  • Ability to make decisions independently and run new jobs alone
  • Cross trained in multiple workstations
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 1 years recent, minimum experience reading and interpreting machine blueprints; required
  • Strong math skills
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.25 - $30.00 per hour
